We Support Our Youth is our growing initiative designed to recognize, encourage and create opportunities for young people involved in agriculture.

The Road Apple Company believes the future of agriculture depends on the young people learning it, working in it, building businesses around it and finding their own place in the industry. Whether they are starting their first business, raising livestock, competing through FFA or 4-H, organizing a fundraiser, or simply doing something worth celebrating — we want to help give them a place to grow and be seen.

Youth Agriculture Events

Helping youth organizations get the word out.

Approved FFA chapters, 4-H clubs and other eligible youth agriculture organizations can submit qualifying agricultural, food and community events to the Local Farm & Food Guide at no cost.

From fundraisers to livestock shows — posted free to the Local Farm & Food Guide.

Organizations are reviewed and approved by The Road Apple Company before events publish.

Celebrate the journey

Youth in Ag Stories

Celebrating young people whose stories deserve to be heard.

Parents, teachers, FFA advisors, 4-H leaders, agricultural professionals, family and community members can nominate a deserving young person for recognition. Stories may focus on:

  • Agricultural accomplishments and leadership
  • Perseverance or overcoming challenges
  • Entrepreneurship and community service
  • FFA or 4-H accomplishments
  • Livestock, equine, farming or other ag achievements

Build the idea

Youth in Ag Business Program

Helping young entrepreneurs get started.

For high-school-age and young agricultural entrepreneurs who are starting or growing a small agriculture-related business or service. We select a small number of young entrepreneurs we can help with resources such as:

A simple professional website

Basic branding and online presence guidance

Tips for presenting and promoting their business

Practical small-business guidance

Encouragement and guidance as they get started

This is not a grant, scholarship, formal mentorship program or guaranteed free service. The program is starting small and participation is determined by The Road Apple Company.
